The Mimic's Origin CHANGED in Secret of the Mimic Demo? - FNAF Theory

The Secret of the Mimic had a playable demo at Steel Wool Studios' Five Nights at Freddy's booth at PAX West, and after thinking about my experience playing it, I think that if the character focused on in the demo, Jackie, is the Mimic, that could imply that the Mimic's origin has been changed from Tales from the Pizzaplex

Notes: Jackie's eyes behind the mask in the demo are also orange, but we only see that when the green eyes aren't in the way anymore it seems, and the teaser video has an actual clip I could use lol

Also this is just a speculative possibility! I think it's also completely possible that Jackie isn't the Mimic itself and just controlled by its program. It's a theory, but we don't have a ton to go off of, so I'm just putting out ideas for people to think about!

Maybe Jackie is a prototype for the mimic and may left some inspiration for creating the puppet. ( Green Eyes 😉 😉) and yes I read ID’s comment but you know since the orange are when the green eyes are not in the way it’s still a possibility to be leading it as maybe a inspiration for the puppet as because it’s an animatronic that sits in the box and is know for long like limbs. But maybe I just sound crazy after 10 years of being in this living nightmare know as the FNaF lore.

I think this game is exactly what the series needs right now, in a time when the debate is raging within the community. It's not the kind of thing you can expect to see with any level of frequency, but it's a much more satisfying way to explain things like this than the books ever were — nothing against the books, of course, but it's nice to know what's canon and what's not.

_Also, I'm sure the game will just be focused on the Mimic, but if we could get some lore reveals for the Crying Child that would be great._

I’m think Mimic was built more as a babysitter for children at the Fallfest. And given with Jackie, I think it was designed by William for entertainment.
Given that the Toy Factory is in the demo, I assume “whoever the hell built the Mimic with what the game would say” built Mimic in the Toy Factory, and was taken to Fallfest for Babysitting.
With Jackie, I think she is a Mimic clone that William made for kicks and giggles. But I believe Jackie inspired Henry to create the Security Puppet while it also inspired William to create Circus Baby.

All I want with this game is for it to end the toxic book debate once and for all

I was just assuming Jackie was the mimic’s main costume and it’s tales origin is still canon, maybe with a few differences

Jackie is weirdly similair to "the creepy clown drawing" from FFPS (the one from the office). But I am not smart enough to understand what does it mean. Maybe the Mimic was in the FFPS location? It's even more possible since in epilogues of TFTP it appeares to be discolored and dark, as if it surived a fire.

Fascinating… I noticed that Jackie looks eerily similar to Scrap Baby… same color scheme, same eye shape… perhaps after the Funtimes ejected Elizabeth from Ennard she found Jackie and became one with it, further implying that the Mimic and Scrap Baby are the same person.

Ohhh, I'm excited. I watched John Fuhnaff's 'retelling' or 'summary'or whatever the heck you call it of the demo, and it sounds EPIC. I also had absolutely no clue it was a vr game until then. I didn't know the clown had a name either or a gender, so that's interesting. And from how Fuhnaff described the clown moving, it kinda imagined it like how Monty crawls after being, well, smashed by a giant bucket, just with long arms. (That sounds so pathetic but also crazy at the same time 😅)

Really feels like Afton finally met his true end in Ruin. Security breach being the final chapter of that era, and starting point, away from ghosts and muderers, to machines simply glitching and going on a rampage. Targeting kids and adults alike. Seems that Charolette finally got Willam in the end.
