We have enjoyed our short 10-day stay here in CDMX. It's quite vast but reminds me of New York. There's a ton to do which is great for kids.

Love to see black Americans in Mexico. I am Russian and live in Cancun, and i meet a lot of black Americans from different part of the country. And they're always so educated, funny and full of positive energy. Glad y'all enjoying this country 💕

As a Mexican, I can tell is true. Sometimes, people in Mexico have misconceptions about black people because of Hollywood movies and TV shows. And that's why some people in Mexico think black people are very poor, may be doing some illegal activity, try to steal something, belong to a criminal gang or have illegal guns, and I know is not true. But is the same perception a lot of foreigners have about Mexicans too. I am just glad the perception about black people in Mexico is changing. We need more black people come and visit Mexico, so we can learn of eachother. I live in the U.S. now, and I interact with more diverse population, and love it.

We have a Black-Mexican population, but is very small, and that's why you don't see black people in most cities, and if you see one... chances are, that person is a tourist.

I just want to say... don't believe everything shown in Hollywood movies and TV, because they are dedicated to entertain, no to teach accurate history or reality. 🙂

I loved this! Especially the neighborhood suggestions that weren’t the usuals. Latoya got me looking up Navarte because she described everything that I’m looking for.

This was fun to watch, Shida! Who knew I'd take a tour of Mexico City from my couch today? I definitely felt like yall were walking along Central Park in NYC with all the runners in the background. Anthony tickled me. Appreciated his honesty, energy and humor. That example of the hole in the sidewalk was so timely. Yikes! All the info. was great and appreciated. Thanks for sharing!

I am super excited about moving abroad. In February I'll be coming to Mexico for about 2 months to do some scouting of the different areas to see if it will be my new home base. I'm starting in Mexico City. Then I will be in Spain for a couple of months to see how I like Madrid and Seville, since my youngest lives in Zaragoza. I never imagined I would be able to make such a drastic and freeing decision to move from the US.

I (a 65 years YOUNG solo traveling gal) just spent 6 months in CDMx - I ALWAYS felt SAFE - but of course I never went into bad areas.

Thank you for this. My wife is from Mexico (dual citizen now), but wants me to retire there in 3 years. I have done trade shows in Mexico City, but that's it. I can speak a little spanish and getting fluent will be easy, but this video really helped me a Black man. Well, I am mixed and have Cuban ancestry, but... At any rate, this helped convicted me. My wife has relatives in Mexico City who know the lay of the land. In fact, we helped her get through college, which is why she was able to move there. Thanks again. I will check out more of your videos. I have lived in a lot of places in the US, and just moved from Chicago to a suburb when covid hit. Great job with the multiple interviews and it not being just one person. As far as being the only black, I worked in Corporate America and taught Golf for over 30 years, so... LOL.

Those were very good interviews and perspectives. I loved your walk down Reforma. CDMX is one of my favorite cities for all of the reasons mentioned. Interesting recommendations for living/staying. Escandón got a lot of love. Mad respect to the brother who lived in Iztapalapa and now lives in Azcatpozalco. Good content. Thank you.

I could be wrong. But Mexico City does not look poor. Its probably just how and when they choose to fix it. Anyway it looks beautiful.

Mexico has the greatest culture in all of America and one of the most important in the world, many things to see and learn from ancient cultures and traditions that you will not find in America, only in Mexico.
