Bluegill, I am sure arguably, are one of the most scrappy fish, especially on light gear and even more so on a fly rod. What is used to catch them can be anything from traditional flies using furs and feathers to synthetics. The fly I show in this video is very easy to make and always produces.

Check out my Etsy store for some of the things I make to use tying up my flies.

I have some products you can buy directly through my Etsy Store; many of the others are linked to my Amazon affiliate account.

Great Idea with the tacky material. I do the same with dental wax which I first used to keep non magnetic screws
on my screwdriver.

I finally got out fishing. I have caught Bass and Bluegill on the furled leaders, they’re great. Thank so much. ( I also have caught Mangrove Snapper on these leaders).

It’s a fly in my book. Great tying demo. Thanks for sharing.

Who is singing that bluegill song? It’s cool.
