Starting from scratch trying to build out the best possible fishing box for my buddy. We fish mainly around Southern Ontario from Muskoka to the Great Toronto Area. We mainly target walleye, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Items I left out of the video: 10lbs fluorocarbon leader, 80lbs pike leader, ⅜ oz jigheads and white curly tail jigs

For a rod and reel, he has a 7’ M Daiwa Fuego paired with a 30x President XT spinning rod

Everything you need to start fishing

Can never go wrong with a few beetle spins

2/5 oz Little Cleo. Green and white glow for sunset, dirty water, and night fishing, and blue and silver for all other times.

A jig chatter bait and buzz bait and then that’s perfect 👍

Ned jig! Literally the best do nothing bait I've tried on for the fishing virgins

Chartreuse jig heads for the walleye. That with a worm and it’s game on for the walleye.

Just took my buddy (who’s never fished before) on a saltwater fishing trip with a couple people a fee days ago and he had alot of fun. I don’t want him to spend like 100+ bucks on pure starter equipment, so yesterday I got a rod and reel together, and got him a tackle bag with two good size tackle trays with a bunch of stuff in em. This video reminded me of that lol.

Mepps #5 is an amazing choice, fish can't resist it. Honestly only lure I would add is Rapala Shad Rap 3 inch in any baitfish color or chartreuse, deep or shallow diving depending on water you will fish, both are also fish magnets.

A couple pairs of nice scissors and about a dozen of just nice beetle spins would make it perfect

How about a "Crazy Crawler" by Heddon? At dusk it slays big bass!

You should add a $299 glide bait to his tackle box and record his reaction

Also, a old school lure that i use that requires little skill other than cat sink and retrieve...3" to 5" twister tail grubs on a 3/16 ounce jig head!

What about a few Ned Rigs? Underrated but we all know they catch fish!

Jigheads only thing for essentials imo. I been fishing for a while and still never thrown hardbaits. I woulda switched those out for jigheads/more hooks and some swimbaits or flukes but thats just me !

LOVE the mepps spinner size 5 you got - maybe add a couple little cleos or dardevles if you ever go for steelhead or salmon - blue and sliver, chartreuse and silver, and orange and gold.

Buzzbaits, devil horse and swim jigs. I did like the fact you put an inline spinner mepps lure. Inline spinners are over looked a lot.

you should add one or two more booyah spinnerbaits
a couple more rooster tails
a chatterbait
jig heads
Senkos worms
a deep dive crankbait
a rattler/ lipless crankbait
a spoon
swim jigs
football jigs
spoons
