Love the channel Matt, Michigan has one of the richest and largest alumni and fan bases on the planet. So not surprised we are improving in recruiting, as the coaches and AD have finally made NIL a priority. Go Blue

Michigan fan here. Coming off a NC, this was a satisfying 8-5 year (as weird as that may sound). The OSU game was our super bowl; beating Bama was just a cherry on top. Very excited for next year in this new era of expanded league and expanded playoffs.

For being a first year head coach of a team losing as much talent as we did after winning the natty, I think Sherrone had a perfect first season. Hear me out, the beginning was rough for sure, but it showed how good Sherrone can be under pressure, showed he has an ability to make the right corrections, and he proved he can win with one of the worst power 5 offenses we’ve seen in a long time. He’s also shown a knack for winning big/important games and that’s my favorite thing about the man. The bad beginning to the season led to our NIL not only catching up but doing laps around many other big players in the NIL game. Now we’re starting to bring in top ten classes and the future looks incredibly bright. I don’t think we would’ve made the strides in NIL that we made had this season not gone as it did in the beginning. And once we got NIL straight, we started winning against top ten teams so we still managed to finish with a winning record. So for that reason I’m happier with 8-5 than I would’ve been with something like 11-2 or 10-3. Michigan is currently playing the long game.

Life long Michigan fan here. It was a good year, took a while to find their way but ended strong. Great momentum, high level recruiting class, good portal moves (would like to have nabbed a better QB with experience in the portal to groom Underwood but we got what we got). Would like to have seen more consistency throughout the year but let's put it into perspective. We lost all 5 OL starters, it takes time for an OL to gel and know each other and without a starter on the field this year I knew it was going to be tough. QB loss doesn't need mentioned, it has been a tough spot all year as I never liked Orji and Warren and Tuttle were lacking at best. Defensive losses were just as bad however Michigan's next man up mentality turned to be for real, especially as they all started to gel at the end of the year. 13 total players drafted after the 2023 natty, going to be another handful this year with 4 projected first round. A lot to look forward to but let's see how well Sherrone is at developing talent, let's not forget Michigan beat Alabama with a lot of missing pieces who opted out including those 4 first round draft prospects.

This was some very objective content. You posted and delivered in the style. I thought was rather refreshing as a Michigan fan, student, Ann Arbor resident player it was objective and fun. I wish you the best moving forward with your future content...

I think instead of saying "Players who *FAKE* injuries must sit out", I feel it should be all players who get injured and must temporarily pause the football game at any moment, they should sit out *AT LEAST* the rest of the drive. Not only does it solve faking injuries, it also solves players being to dedicated to the team and risking further injury, possibly ending their collegate athletic career for a single game to possibly win.

Many people think Michigan should be going for 5 stars and the #1 transfer portal players every year but this is 10x harder for Michigan compared to any team in the FBS NCAA. Michigan is not only one fo the best athletic schools, they hold the smartest school, with the average Michigan student having a GPA of 3.9+ and an ACT score of 32-35. This is extremely hard to get, considering these athletes are handling school and football, likely track and other sports on the side. Imagine having to handle getting a 4.4 GPA and a high ACT score while juggling school the way it is, along with attending 3 hour practices every day. Our transfer rank could near #1 in the country but 3 wide recievers, coming from Clemson and BYU, attempted the transfer but were not able to due to their credits. They would have made Michigan one of the best offenses but could not help due to being at low level schools (Clemson only) and handling football at a top tier program while having to take classes.

We got a taste of a natty and we aren’t going back to mediocrity. Michigan is rich with history and money. WE ARE THE NEXT COLLEGE FOOTBALL DYNASTY. Nobody’s got it better than us

Matt, as to the fake injury, limit the sit out rule for the last two minutes of the first half and second half. If you’re injured in the 3rd quarter, take as much time as you need. If you’re injured with 60 seconds left in the half or the game, you sit out for the drive.

I'm a Michigan fan. My father and sister are Michigan alum. I grew up in Ann Arbor. My twin brother, myself and other sister are South Carolina Gamecocks alums. But, Michigan comes first in our family. It was a solid year for Michigan because how they finished. If they had a good QB they would've won 3 more games. Regardless, the program is heading in the right direction. Sherrone Moore will be the best Michigan coach in the stories history of Michigan football. He can recruit and develop. Harbaugh knew he was the catalyst to turning the program around. Next season will be the start of a dominant run for the Maize and Blue.

Michigan Fan here, it ended with me laughing two games in a row at the expense of the Big Boys this year, so yes it was successful. A really weird year as you said. Having won the National Championship last year, the disappointment early on was somewhat muted, and knowing we did not have a stud at quarterback gave us the reason, but to end it that way was such an immense rush, almost nirvana, and we are powerfully moving into the future. Love it! You want to turn a season around, beat OSU and Bama in your last two games. Crazy.

Michigan has changed their entire recruiting program. Harbaugh would never ok $ to a HS kid, which is why they had hardly any 5* recruits. If the kid mentioned $, he was off their board. He compensated performance which is why all those seniors came back in 23. Harbaugh also didn't want to market to the alumni base for big fund raising. Moore is full steam ahead and is very good with fund raising and recruiting. They feel there is no limit to what their collective can raise. It's a very large and wealthy alumni base with nearly 30 billionaires. Great content
