We bought two In wall heaters to test out, installed one and quickly realized just how loud they were compared to the baseboards. The thing struggled to get the 120sqf mud room up to 60 (It's a cabin and we kill the heat when we leave). So we took the other one back and have stuck with the cadet baseboard heaters. Super quiet and I think they actually heat up better than our "test" in wall unit. Just my .02...

*Install was easy **fireplace.homes** good although I personally had some difficulty with the thermostat I had. Issue was mine though, not realizing that electric heaters couldn't use oil thermostats. Tip: If you are using an external thermostat, run the power to the thermostat, not the unit. Once that was squared away it worked great.*

Wall heaters honestly suck. They don't heat the house and cost a fortune to run. Stick to what you know. Unfortunately its not home heating systems.

Oh nice, then you put 75 humidifiers, because this small heater has much higher temperature and burns/dries more air than a regular baseboard.

Plug in oil heater (1500 watts) works better then both of these for small areas. The oil version stays warm even when it cycles off. No moving parts, quiet and Costs about me 35 a month to run 1 often.

I moved to a house that has cadet wall heaters and i'm surprised this is a thing.. they generate too much noise pollution the entire day. Also i couldn't even sleep the first night, and took me few hours to understand that i would fall a sleep when the heater turned off but then when it starts running again it would wake me up.. So now i would turn off all the heaters before going to bed. I started searching about maybe replacing them with baseboards and to my surprise, Cadet is suggesting the opposite so i guess i'll check for another company that does baseboards that maybe are up to date??..

I'm skeptical about the notion that wall heaters are any more efficient; every watt, even those powering the fan, is converted to heat. The only loss with electric baseboards that might be lessened with the wall heater would be heat that is radiated to a poorly insulated wall and ends up outside; that shouldn't be much, but it might be in some extreme cases. But either way, I trust the safety of wall heaters more than I would most electric baseboards; there is much less opportunity for flammable stuff to fall onto them, heat up and start a fire. For those who want the quiet and evenness of baseboards, do you have any models in which water (NOT oil) is heated by the element, with low, regulated temperature, and that is used to heat the fins? That would seem like a safer alternative to the scorchers that were popular in the 1970s.

Are these good and safe to install in a bathroom with no heat ? My garage was converted into a studio apartment ( by previous homeowner)and they did not run the baseboard heating copper pipes all the way to the bathroom. It’s always cold unless you turn on the heating lamp/fan. I don’t like it bc I feel it’s not to efficient and there’s no way to add a thermostat to it. Is this a better option for my needs ?

What if this is an outside wall with insulation inside. This unit protrudes inside the wall where the insulation and vapor barrier are, which is quite different from a baseboard heater?

I been heating my mobile home exclusively with baseboard heaters and got my first whole month bill...$531 !

I need a better option. Will this wall heater make a significant difference in cost to run ?

Is this a good way to replace the heat option in a home? Currently my cast iron radiators were stolen and Im not even sure if the boiler works. Is this a good option for Michigan winters when the temperatures can go as low as the negatives?

My last apartment had wall heaters I loved them. Now I have stanky base board heaters. I’m afraid the power bill will be crazy
