My son called Tech support because we are intending to purchase 4 Cadet wall heaters and he was wondering about size of wire and some questions about thermostats. He was told they would call him right back. in 15 minutes he received a call and spend another 15 minutes on the phone. The Tech was a real knowledgeable person and was just a good all around person. All questions were answered. Very positive phone call, FANTASTIC!

I found this video very helpful. I just installed one of these Cadet baseboard hydronic heaters and and it was pretty easy after watching the video. The instructions that come with the heater and thermostat definitely leave a lot to be desired, so I was glad to find the video. There seem to be a lot of negative comments here, but personally I'm pretty satisfied so far. Heater seems to be working fine. I'll update my comments here if I run into any problems with it. I had no reason to contact customer support, so I can't comment on that aspect of their product or service.

I watched the video to replace my existing unit. This was helpful, the only thing is that the cable clamp in this video is opposite/backwards of what is in the instructions manual.

Do hydronic baseboard heaters have lower peak temperatures compared to conventional electric baseboard? I just installed LVP flooring under an existing heater and am considering replacing with a soft heat baseboard to reduce chances of flooring buckling

Do you always install the romex connector backwards? And do always not twist the wires together before installing the wirenuts?

If you are running off of a 30 amp breaker like in the video, I would use a 10 gauge wire instead of a 12 gauge.

So you can only turn it on via the breaker? No internal thermostat??

I have 3 plug in baseboard heaters. I also have the wall baseboard heaters here in my apartment. For some reason, the ones that are mounted to the wall dont work very well, especially here in the living room and bedroom. But when I use the portable/plug in baseboard heaters, they work a lot better. I have the plug in version of the heater in this video, and the hydronic heater here is much better than the regular plug in baseboard heater

Always use a voltage detector before you start messing with anything. Don't rely on figuring your flipping the right breaker

Do you recommend having the hydronic heaters on all the time and not use a programmable thermostat since it takes a while to heat up?

Wow that music in the video is annoying as hell. Who is the brilliant media mind behind that decision to add the music?

Could have been a much better video if your voice was louder than the unnecessary music … could barely hear you! But thanks anyway

Has Cadet watched this crappy video? Cannot hear a thing for the lame music.

The only thing worse than your products is your customer support. Please for the love of God, stop making videos and start waiting tables.
