Song: “Life on the Line”
Artist: Fiona Culley Feat. Darius Rucker

LIFE ON THE LINE is a riveting action thriller and family drama centered on Beau (John Travolta), his beloved niece Bailey (Kate Bosworth) and the hardworking men who risk their lives to work “on the line” and keep the electric grid running. These unsung heroes brave raging storms and dangerously dizzying heights in their dedication to keeping the populace safe. Toiling hundreds of feet in the air on wires carrying as much as 500,000 volts of electricity, tragedy is often inches away. Haunted by the electrocution death of his brother, Beau is devoted to Bailey and determined to see her go off to college and away from the life of linemen. Bailey has other plans, which include the strapping second-generation lineman Duncan (Devon Sawa), whom Beau despises. A deadly tempest is brewing and headed straight to their Texas town. Beau, Duncan and a legion of linemen are thrust into the eye of the storm and must face down impending disaster to keep their community connected. This compelling action drama also stars Sharon Stone, Ryan Robbins, Julie Benz and Gil Bellows.

Lionsgate Premiere / Grindstone Entertainment / Group / Elite Film Productions and Marro Films present, in association with Voltage Pictures, a film by David Hackl. LIFE ON THE LINE will be in theaters and on demand on November 18, 2016.

I'm a lineman and I appreciate this song and movie dedicated to us. Risking our lives every day to make sure other families have electricity and hoping at the end of the day we get to come home to our families. Thank you for the song and movie.

I’m a line truck mechanic working along side these guys often on job sites and it’s a dangerous job. Words can’t describe the feeling of being that close to the end. But safety is number 1 and you have to love it or you ll never make it.

Retired, 38 years in the trade. Been there, done that. Got many T shirts & caps. A great & honorable career. Many missed family functions, birthdays, holidays, kids playing in their first snowfall. Lost friends & coworkers. I still feel the loss when I hear of a "Pole Buddy" I never met loses to the "Fire in the wires." That said, it's a damned rewarding & satisfying job after working long hours & you close that recloser or switch & you see the lights in a neighborhood come on. One hell of a proud feeling. I would do it all over again.

Know so many men and women on the line being from Florida the hurricane state I have so much respect for what they do. Love the people and I will always shake their hands and give them a hug for what they do for us. The first responder during a severe storm. Thank you for your sacrifice.

I just watched the movie for the first time. Salute to All the men and women who put their life on the line. Prayers to the families who lost a love one. My father was an Election. It scared me so much when he had to go out when we got hit with bad weather or a storm. Only a few times he had to go to another state when it was a natural disaster. That was the worst. He lost his best friend when they got called out one winter. He was gone for a couple of weeks. His friend took my Dad's place wen up the power pole during the storm unaware that there was still a live or Hot wire until it was to late. My Dad left Duke Energy and started his own company. Watching that movie made me think how bless we were to have my Dad come that night. I still lost my Dad years later . At the age of 47 . He passed away from a brain aneurysm but not that night of the storm.
