If light is a wave, then space is full of light. There is no vacuum, only that which the human eye cannot see. If a signal can be sent from space to earth, how could it reach earth if it had nothing to travel through? It reaches earth because it does have something to travel through.Space is full of infinite light and is an ocean of consciousness.

The detection of gravitational waves means that the universe is made of something. Something has to carry electromagnetic waves or nothing would be visable. If there was nothing between two objects then there wouldn't be a distance to travel. Sadly I believe this makes travel by wormhole impossible, folding 3d space would be like folding a block. I suspect it is rather solid considering the distance between things doesn't seem to change if they don't move, until you get to a larger scale. I suspect we are wrong about the universe expanding as well. Unless it is growing which would be kinda exciting.
