Axle will probably not just snap, but you can get tire noise, hopping, and skidding when turning. The tires getting worn fast is a bigger problem than snapping.

The axle won't snap without a differential. Most four wheelers don't have differentials, and plenty of car owners purposely weld their differential to incurage drifting. The differential just makes turning easier.

It won’t snap yes it will flex but at some point the tire will slip and the flex will cause overshooting when turning the tire back and creating a feedback loop. This will cause slipping tire and vibrations.

The axle won't snap. The differential was actually made to make the handling of a car better. It puts more power to the wheel with the most resistance. Because of that if you have a differential it will handle better around corners and cause less wear on the tires. Differentials can also help in off-road situations or on poor roads because it will provide power to the wheel with grip. A lot of people in the drag racing community weld their differentials or get solid axles so they can have a more even distribution of power. A solid axle is still street legal and will only cause excess wear on a tire.

I drive a big rig. When ever my wheels start slipping, I lock the differentials to get all them 8 wheels moving at the same time. Saved my butt many times

I have built a couple quick vehicles for a parade at my university and while i have not yet snapped an axle i have torn wheels of the axle, sure was not built as sturdily as a car but from what i have seen i would say its quite possible indeed to break stuff, by now i am confident that if you cant have a differential, one wheel drive is better

So that's why when I was a kid, it freaks me out when I rotated one of the rear wheel of a jacked up car, the other rotates the opposite way. Some RC cars also had that behavior.

Now you gotta make a limited slip differential. A Torsen LSD is probably the best way to go, less parts than a normal one, and probably more forgiving when it comes to tolerances
