This is my mother. It was traumatising growing up with her as a mother, I lost my way with God because of her abuse but God found me again and brought me to him.

This was so on point. The religious narcissist I dealt with always looked for attention. Everytime he visited a new church he told his "testimony". It was all for attention so people could feed his ego. He moves quickly giving every woman he dates a ring. Saying he wants to marry quickly because he wants to live right in God's eyes. No, he wants to trap a forever supply.

It's also very easy to point out that others are narcissists and that we ourselves dont have narcissistic characteristics or attitudes :/ ... I want to always stay humble and examine myself to see if this is me and not someone else 🌻

Thank you for discussing this topic. Having my first relationship being with a covert narcissist, it's only through God's grace it ended. Lots of healing and things I miss from it but in the end Jesus is Lord. May more talks like these be about in our churches where they are so easily in sheep's clothing.

They always have to ‘broadcast’ any slight action or deed of their religiousity -‘I’ve got to go to a service … help at the orphanage … blah blah’. They never unconditionally give and they are so smug

Amen, so true, these types of individuals are always in high leadership positions. They typically surround themselves around “yes” people. Not to mention, they mimic people they want to be like while trying to destroy the life of that person because of envy, jealous, and rivalry. Without their high position they have no power or authority so they seek high positions to carry out their plan. I’ve dealt with a lot of narcissistic people on my jobs. They watched me a lot and copied me, but they didn’t know I was watching them too silently. My anointing is what attracted them.

People like this can know and understand the word of God, but choose to use the word as an attempt to twist it around for their benefit. It is concerning to me to say the least. Unfortunately they don't have any fear of the consequences when they choose to do and act like this. That is why the word of God says not all that says Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

The Narcississt I was involved with, claimed to be a Christian and we watched Christian movies together and he would cry during the movies, I never knew if it was just a show, for him to fake being upset, bc the movies were sad, so I really didn't know what to believe. He promised me the world, basically sold me a dream, saying we would be together, and a year later just discarded me. He discarded me a month ago, and I'm still trying to heal and I know God will heal me. Sadly this is my 3rd Narcississt that I have been with, I'm praying the next guy I date is not a Narcississt.

Having just experienced this, it grieves my heart. This person was tormented by his own actions. I will heal, he's still living in it every minute-every day
ALWAYS check the fruit. They can be very convincing at first...but you can't fake fruit for long

3:30 not necessarily. Some covert narcissists can pretend to be humble but they will still have a high opinion of themselves

I'm not convinced there are any truly born again narcissists. They do no wrong in their own eyes so it's hard to believe they can repent. Never marry one because you will either need to divorce from the person and their abusive ways or you will shorten your own life. God is good, willing and able to deliver you from them.
