I actually liked the animation. It sort of reminded me of old Pixar movies like the prince of Egypt where there’s a healthy mix between animation and cgi. They made it feel natural

I dropped my jaw when i saw the animation, I have always hated cgi, but the way they transistion between anime and cgi was too good, its smooth and seamless, and they focus on putting the animation in the best parts and cgi for lots of movements, its awsome.
