As an Englishman, we will criticise England because we are familiar with it. Most people here don't feel they can judge someone else's country because even if some aspects seem bad we all have our flaws and there might be reasons for them we don't understand. 'First pluck out the beam in your own eye' etc.

Plus, we like to have a good moan.
