I’m a lefty, ‘socialist’ liberal. And while I don’t always agree with Dr. Peterson on issues (I don’t ALWAYS agree with anyone, truthfully…who does?) on this issue he is 100% correct. I address my trans friends and family as they wish me to-and gladly and lovingly do it. But the minute we open that door, to gvmnt interference in speech, it doesn’t close again. And that could have catastrophic consequences.

It is possible to disagree with someone and not hate them at the same time. Many parents do it multiple times a day and yet love their children and partners

When I first heard his argument on this, I was intrigued by this man's ability to cut right to the heart of the matter. And ever since then he has continued to do so. Frequently he has made statements and I have thought that he articulated an idea I had as well but couldn't have put it so concisely into words. Gotta love this guy.

We need to stop conflating hating a person and disagreeing with the actions of a person. Just because you don't agree with the trans sports issue doesn't mean you hate a person for being trans. We need to be able to have conversations in this country instead of painting every disagree as hate or hate speech. Yes, of course, there is some real hatred in this world but most Americans are good, honestly, loving people. They just have a different viewpoint or understanding of an issue.
