I totally agree about the Magic Mouse. I trashed mine and bought a trackpad. Now that's one of the best things Apple's ever made.

I actually feel thankful of the magic mouse. It forever reminds me there are far better choices out there :)

The mouse puck at the earliest iMac days was laughably horrible to use. And the original iPod Shuffle offered such limited controls that it was too difficult to navigate your music.

But the iMac, the iPod, and iPhone each revolutionized our daily lives. Their influence reached far beyond Apple-land.

The outrageous price they charge for memory upgrades, especially when it isn’t user upgradable! Sticking with lightening cables while everything else seems to have moved to USB-C. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the AirPod Max case, but I guess you beat that up quite a bit.

I love the magic mouse and works really well for me. The charging isn't an issue because the one time a year I have to charge it I plug it in at the end of the day and when I wake up in the morning it is ready for months of use. I don't understand the issue.

I could not agree more with you in that the iPad Mini and iPhone Mini are just awesome products. The fact that the iPhone mini actually fits in your pocket is incredible and works beautifully with the Apple wallet. To think they may kill this off caused me to go get the iPhone mini . . .

Great video, but don't agree with the Magic Mouse. Back in the day, first time I got one I didn't like it either. But I got used to it and got rid of any Logitech stuff. Love the multitouch tactile features, although it could be a little bigger, ok. Battery life is insane and I suspect that they made the charging this way just for not using it while charging, so battery would live more time.

You're so right about their "Magic" Mouse, what a load I too use the MX3 and at leat with that you can still use it if it is plugged in for charging.

Mark, I agree with the premise of the video. However, I'm not of the same opinion that the Magic Mouse is so terrible. Actually I dont find the size of the mouse all that annoying (I have medium sized hands too), and the upside down charging has never, ever been an issue for me, not in the least. It holds a charge for quite a long time and when it gets close to battery low I let it charge at night or just for a few minutes. Never been an issue for me and I use 2 Magic mice on my 3 Macs. Every point made here is completely fair. I won't touch the Magic Mouse as it would trash my wrists into an RSI-induced nightmare in very little time! The Logitech MX Master has been my mouse of choice for years now and is a wonderfully well designed piece of kit. Surely Apple will eventually listen to the almost universal criticism of its mouse and change the design. Surely?

I love my Magic Mouse. Charging idiocy aside it seems to suit me fine. I really dislike huge bulky mice with lots of dials and buttons. So there 😉

I agree with everything you said with one difference and that is that I’d buy the apple magic keyboard despite the price if I could. The pricing of some products are horrible sometimes, others it’s justified. I find the price of the Apple TV to be cheap for what you get for example. The main issue is that I live in a country where we have the “Apple tax” so if I buy something here from apple it’s more expensive than if I’d buy it I the states or the UK.

I have memories of the “soap bar” mouse that came with translucent iMacs. Equally unusable. Like you I use Logitech mx3 and the Mx keyboard. On more positive note my favourite Apple product is still the Watch. I love being Dick Tracey making and answering calls. Great video Mark.

I may be in the minority but I like the Magic Mouse. It could do with a bit more volume but you’re wrong about the charging port. The alternative, and the one everyone clamours for, is a visible port so one can carry on using it. Like a wired mouse from the 90s. That’s literally why it was designed that way - to stop that potential ‘wrong’ behaviour. Obviously the decision would be poor if it took ages to charge, but it doesn’t. So as design compromises go, it’s totally logical and very Apple.

Good video! I’ve always hated the Magic Mouse. Have always used the Magic Track Pad instead. Charging it from the bottom…OMG 🤣

I agree except for the Keybaord... I actually really like it. I'm normally a Cherry MXBrown or Blue guy but I've found I really like that. To the point I switched to a Logitech G915, much lower profile than Cherry MX switches, on my gaming PC. I've found I can actually type faster on the Apple keyboard than any other I have... no idea why, maybe it's the supershort travel. Shout out for the MXMaster 3, best mouse ever!

I agree with you on the Magic Mouse. I stopped using it because it always sounded like I was scratching my desk with it.
