I feel like failures that were just early but groundbreaking aren't truly failures (i.e. the Newton). Other failures like the 20th anniversary mac, the Lisa, and the Pippin seem like "me too" products that don't really add anything to the market. Those seem like true failures.

Xbox basically did what the pippin tried to do hardware wise but xbox went with being as “cool” as possible at the time.
