For me, I enjoyed cars 2 for what it was. Granted it was more focused on Mater rather than Lightning, and wasn't really focused on racing. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Despite all that’s been said about Lasseter in these years, I’ll always admire him for the inspirational stories he brought into my life. (And many others as well) He was truly a pioneer of the industry, and an incredibly gifted storyteller.

He was the heart and soul of the studio, and Pixar will never be the same without him.

Recently I rewatched Cars 2 and I enjoyed it. It’s definitely the weakest out of the trilogy imo but I think a lot of people dislike it because it’s called cars 2. It focused mostly on mater in a spy setting with lightning and racing being in the background. It may have helped making ot a spin off/named after mater but the theme shift is so sudden that it feels a bit bizarre.

Cars 2 is one of my favorite movies. When I was younger I loved cars (1) to the point where I watched it practically every day. I love everything about cars 2, the characters, the soundtrack, the plot, the hidden details, the animation, the scenery. And personally I think that cars 3 is the worst cars movie and I refuse to re-watch it.

I feel it's a niche opinion, but honestly, Cars 2 is my favourite from the whole franchise - and although it's not properly focussed on Lightning, I completely love that spy thriller plot

The problem with this movie was calling it 'CARS 2'. 'THE '2' specifically'. They could have come up with some other name like 'CARS : (Something something) ' as a spinoff. Essentially Cars 3 was the second part to the original CARS 1 movie.

Everyone hates on cars 2 but it was my personal favorite one.

Cars two is good I wached it today. The tow truck got the blue car at the beginning and the blue cars doors open and closed.
