However, later in the series, it's revealed that the upper half of the walls are just illusions, so technically, Newt got to the top of the maze. Had he not been so intent on committing die, he likely would have noticed he was near the top.

People always point out about Captain Mcree's Shirt but no one gonna mention how in the scene where Shelby gave directive A-113, there is a cut between "full" and then cut to "AUTO".

Which mean that directive A-113 wasn't to go full AUTOPILOT but mean something else.
