Abel Mutai and Ivan Fernandez Motivational Story - It will change your perspective about Success

Kenyan runner abel mutai was leading the cross- country race at an event in burlada navarre in December 2012

He was only a few meters from the finishline, but got confused with the signs and stopped, thinking he had finished the race.

A Spanish runner Ivan Fernandez was right behind him and, realizing What was going on, he started shouting to the kenyan to keep runing.

Mutai did not know Spanish and did not understand. Realising what was going on, Fernandez pushed Mutai to the victory.

A reporter asked Ivan, Why did you do this?Ivan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have some sort of community life where we push ourselves and help each others to win."

The reporter insisted and asked again, "But you could have won!"
Iven replied "I didn't deserve to win it,"I did what I had to do.

Man. This is such a cool story. I read about it on Facebook and came here to see it. The act is inspiring but what really chokes me up is how quickly he decided to do this. Like this man never even had it in him to do anything other than the right thing. How many of us would have won the race and felt guilty about it later, not having the time to consider right and wrong in the moment? This dude lives his life like that. My 10 year old great grandson just took part in his 1st cross country run with others his age his friend whom he was running along side with had to stop and walk because he had a bad stitch my grandson walked alongside him until he was fit to start running again when they ce in he's was number 41 his friend 42 he was given a good sportsmanship medal for what he did . I asked him why he did it he said: he was friend " I told him how proud I was of him for doing that and told him about this race ❤
