I read it so fast that I didn't retain any information so I gotta read it again.

One thing that helped me significantly was using a bookmark or the side of my thumb to block off the lines i previously read. So rather than tracking the words from below, I track them from above.

This way my eyes can start subconsciously processing words coming up on the next line or two without the temptation of reading over a previous line.

I just flip the pages, that way I’m able to go through about 20-60 books a day. Lifehack.

The explanation is lacking here. Maybe he explained it in a full version somewhere.

The point is you do not actually miss the words on the sides but you adopt to "get" them without intentionally "reading" them. Some people develop this visual reading (in contrast with reading out loud in the mind) that they can get 2 to 3 words from either side without "reading"them

Facts. I learned this by 2nd or 3rd grade(was up to mid collegiate level by 5th grade and had to use public library as i had read all the books the school had)
