What was life like, in the weimer republic?
Who were the Bolsheviks?
Who did Marx study under?
Where did that person source his ideology?
What was the topic of the books that were burned? Who was the target audience of those books?
What happened to the German citizens immediately after the war?
What did Patton mean when he said “we fought the wrong enemy”?

People should ask why Hitler got the Satan treatment, but not Stalin or Mao.

As a 50 yr old American, the more I paid attention to world events and politics in general, the more I realized we are still living in WW2. To this very day.

No more architecture. This is the greatest effect of WW2. We are all living in depression now.

“We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.”

Thank you for talking about this. Relearning WWII was the biggest red-pill of my life.

Truth shall come to light for all. Thank you for sharing Mr. Pageau

The fact about Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that Japan asked for peace talks before we dropped the bomb on them; and we knew they wanted peace, but we dropped the bombs anyway, and we claimed it was the only way to make them stop.

And no one talks about the genocide of TWELVE million Germans at the hands of the Allies.

When you ARE TOLD YOU Can't QUESTION What really Happened in WW2 YOU MUST QUESTION IT MORE

we fought on the wrong side, and now we're paying the price. it's the saddest thing ever as that war never needed to happen how it did.

We didn't win the war, Russia did. After the war, we didn't shake hands with a devil; two devils shook hands.

It took the generation to die off for us to be able to get passed this.

I've always felt I could trust you, and time and time again you have proven me right by approaching each and every controversial moment with grace and wisdom.

You are one of the real ones.

God bless.

This video is not locked yet? How? What's even crazier is that in some countries even "asking questions" can get you into jail - that's how solid this all is. So solid that nobody is allowed to even mention it

It is called a sacrifice because it was a sacrifice. The question is what was the sacrifice for? And who was the sacrifice to?

Such a pseudo argument. The only thing I agree with Pageau is that we live in a mythology of WW2. He says that we think we were the good guys, but the disturbing truth is we made a pact with the devil by allying with Stalin. Absolute rubbish that the UK and the USA were better than the Soviets!! We firebombed Dresden for no great military reason but to send a threatening message to the nearby Red Army in the closing days of the war. The Western allies killed 10s of thousands of civilians for a terrible reason. We committed untold war crimes, such as the dam busting raids, huge bombing raids on other German cities, firebombing raids on Tokyo that killed more people than the atomic bombs did, and the atrocities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Pageau isn't sure whether it was necessary that we used the atomic bombs on civilians, but he still seems sure that we were the good guys!!! How logical is that??

Furthermore he doesn't even question the idea that Britain and the commmonwealth, and the US won the war. In fact it was essentially the Russians who at tremendous cost killed the Nazi beast. It was they who took Berlin, and without their enormous land victories, such as at Stalingrad, Kursk and Operation Bagration (8 out of 10 German soldiers lost their lives on the Eastern Front) D Day would never have occured, or if it did it would've failed badly. The best German army units faced the Russians, and at least 2/3s of the troops were deployed against them.
So the idea that we "gave" all of Eastern Europe to the USSR is pretty absurd. The Red Army could've swept the smaller allied armies into the Atlantic if they so wished once they defeated Nazi Germany. They were far more battle hardened and numerous.

One myth was how great Churchill was. He was actually a racist imperialist, and he let a massive famine occur in Bengal, India that led to the death of about 3 million people, in the last couple of years of the war. Local British authorities asked for food relief but Churchill didn't let it happen directing ships of food to instead come to the aid of Europe instead. He said he'd rather look after "sturdy Greeks" than Indians, who he looked down on, as most Imperial colonialists are wont to do to their subjects.

There is even a strong argument that the atomic bombs were dropped also as a warning message to the USSR because it was cleaning up the Best Japanese army in Manchuria, and was gearing up to invade Japan. The US needed to get Japan to surrender to them, and also look strong. So the US govt. murdered a couple of hundred thousand civilians in order to do that.

The Yanks have never been shy of dropping bombs on innocent civilians, as we've seen since WW2 in Vietnam, Serbia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Just press a button, and do it remotely. Also putting severe economic sanctions on countries to collectively punish whole peoples, crushing people's lives, and in the case of Iraq in the 1990s killing about 500, 000 children. That's a war crime in itself!!

In Ireland the identity an average person developed based on the history taught in school (at least in my own and prior generations) is that Irishness is a reaction to English oppression/imperialism. Everything before that is rarely known and spoken of in a mythological manner.

And who are the narrators of that myth?! 🤔

“Churchill went to war with Hitler before he could explicitly go to war with him.” The great irony is, that Hitler explicitly (and in writing) did not want a war with Britain. Hitler was a Britain Stan. He wanted a war with Britain like a Gen Z tech bro wants a war with Elon. Hitler was a Britain Stan, and for a long time the King of England was a Hitler Stan.

Hitler at no time claimed to want to conquer the world, except metaphorically. The idea that he did was American propaganda—in order to conquer the world, he’d have had to conquer the British Empire, and as noted previously, he was a Britain Stan. It would be like planning a Mars colony whose first step was assassinating Elon Musk and bombing SpaceX.
