The Nexar will not record drives unless the phone app is in "streaming" and that cant happen unless the phone is wifi connected to the camera. It took me 2 months of no recorded drives to figure this out. In this mode my phone will not Bluetooth connect to the car radio (calls and music). This really sucks because I used to be hands free phone operation, now not at all.

Viafo A119 v3, apparently for the price, has about the best camera images you're going to find. Doesn't matter the make, there are only a couple manufacturers making the cams. Viafo is using some of the latest tech.

I would recommend Vantrue dash cams but there suction cup mounts fail all of the time and is very common. It will fall randomly as well even tho the windshield and mount are clean.

The Garmin Mimi 2 is garbage. Although a nice small, compact unit, it does not last. I installed in two vehicles, and both units have died within 1.5 years.
