In this video, I’m trimming a 4.5lb straight-wall bowl that I threw in a previous episode! I’ll walk you through my process, sharing tips and tricks to refine those clean lines and smooth bottoms. Fair warning—my editing is a little choppy as I’m still navigating the learning curve of Final Cut Pro. Thanks for your patience as I figure this out, and let’s dive into some satisfying pottery trimming!

I love your videos, it's straight forward, no messing around, do what's needed, nothing fancy and your have a beautiful bowl. I love trimming and in the beginning when I threw anything, I could use trimming as the way forward to the shape I had in my head. Now with more throwing practice, I'm trying to move away from 'just' trimming to shape to throwing thinner pieces, which I'm doing more often however I now have to concentrate on the form more as thinner walls means less trimming. Once my pot s would have broken toes if I dropped them but now they are light and sometimes almost to thin and delicate, but I'm seeing it as progress in my throwing habit. Please keep your videos coming, I'm learning lots x thankyou 😊
