actually, the one and only problem with "your" kit is, that if I wanna switch batteries, i need to take the whole setup apart in order to get to the battery doors. Huge advantage of the creator kit is, that I can just plug the cable and charge whole setup together.

To be similar to GoPro creator kit, you also need to add The Remote, a way to screw the 3-Way 2.0 into a selfie stick with standard thread, AND a way to mount your tripod/selfie stick to any GoPro mount (why don't you mention the pop out mounting fingers? They are really handy!).

Also, for the vlogger wondering how to set mic so they can turn the camera forward and backwards, you just set it to camera mic. Yes not the exact same, but like you said, the camera mics are pretty good. Plus, if they add a directional mic like Rode, they're in the same dilemma.

I love the volta! I would turn the camera on and off through the Volta at first it caught me off guard because it wasn't connected but once I started playing with the volta it turns out you can use the volta wirelessly as a complete remote with turning on/off the go pro and changing modes quickly!

So, I did a video this weekend using the Volta and the 2.0 selfie-stick. One important thing I noted: when using the tripod function of the selfie-stick, the camera was top-heavy and was shaking in the wind (ultimately unusable video). I think they both (Volta & selfie stick) have their advantages/drawbacks, but walking down the street vlogging/quick capture, the Volta wins. I actually capture more video because I’m not as worried about battery life or someone noting that I’m turning on the camera

I would spent the whopping 17 bucks and get the gopro set up for the simple fact, the volta is more convenient than swapping in 3 batteries. The price diff would have to be more substantial for me to consider having to take the camera out of a media mod everytime a battery needs a swap. plus, the volta can charge other things like my phone, spare batteries cannot

I took it to Disney twice last week and i enjoyed it. Used the polorpro clip to attach to my backpack. I like not having to remove the media mod to replace the battery. Still a massive pain when the GO Pro freezes and I have to remove the battery to reset though lol. I dont know why GoPro didnt put feet clamps on the bottom of the media mod itself.

I would do the 3 option. Volta, no mod and add the for adapter to plug and keep closed the GoPro
