Each one has advantages and disadvantages... I guess one completes the other. I do have a GP12, but I guess that if I'd had to choose one to be my trip friend, definitely would be the OP3, mainly because of his size and the gimbal movements... and his performance at very low light with pratically no noise. I have watched a bunch of reviews, especially comparisons between these 2 cameras and yours is by far the most complete 👏

Sorry but at 2:25 the GoPro has far, far more detail then the Pocket 3. Just look at the wooden planks, the surface of the concrete. The Pocket 3 just smooth everything out, whilst the GoPro has incredible details.

Im confused between them. I want a camera for my personal memories not for Social media. I rarely go on trips also have budget issues. Don't care about the portability.
I'm using iPhone 14 is gopro camera even worse than my phone in low lights??

i wanna start vlogging but this is hard > like the gopro has a good price for me but its bad in low lights . the dji so expensive for my budget but its perfect for me . is there any camera under 400 dollar . better than the gopro in low lights . what should i buy

dji could also apply digital is to improve the up and down motion
but the sensor does not have enough mp to do so

DJI the picture kinda looks like it has some filter on, I think I will go with GoPro. The only thing that makes me worry is GoPro tempter is too high after using 30 mins.

Great review. I'd say if one is already invested in either ecosystem, stay there. For people who have multiple accessories with either of these systems, I don't see enough of an advantage one way or the other to throw away hundreds or even thousands of dollars for marginally different outcome. For most people, more benefit will come from focusing on becoming better using what they have to get better at the craft. That said, the development of the DJI system bears watching. I'll be interested in another look when the 4 is out.

Great video! I recently went on a trip to Disney world filmed everything vlog style with my hero 12 I liked it but low light was a very difficult thing …. I am thinking of switching to the pocket 3 for vlogging but idk if the $600+ price point can justify it ….. what are everyone’s thoughts ?? Try and master the GoPro as my vlogging camera or bite the bullet and get a pocket 3

Hi Otto, on my Pocket 2 i used to be able to connect a usb c to lightening cable to my iphone 12 pro max and get a live video feed from the Pocket 2 via Mimo app. There was no latency and it stopped the overheat in hot climates (not using bluetooth) while providing a larger monitor. I’ve tried this on the Pocket 3 and it seems not to work the same way. Do have any advice on this? As far as I can see the Pocket 3 doesn’t support video feed out like the older Pocket 2 😔 It’s a real shame.

Well that's a tiny understatement... The GoPro is useless when it's not enough light is more correct 😊

Pocket 3 on the other hand is amazing in low light 🙏

Have both cameras and they are both great in their own way 😊
