Terrified by the violent storm that broke against their boat, Jesus’ disciples begged for His help. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his expositional series in the gospel of Luke, explaining why Christ’s response to their request did not ease their fears but increase them.

"The Calming of the Storm (Luke 8:22-25)"

Kind Sir...great Title...And I believe...

In that espousal of Jesus, 2, 000 yrs ago; I should have not been fearful. And that fear lasted 75 yrs. Believe it or not. For until I was 80 yrs old; I was scared and feared almost about anything. Even though I have been a Born Again Christian; from my age of 9 yrs, in 1941.

Meaning that I had very little Faith. As I should have had. Sad, but OH so True. But 10 yrs ago (I'm 90 now); I got very close to Jesus; who is the ONLY true God there will ever be. And I began praying more and more. And even sometimes many prayers during in one day. In privacy of course for sure; as He commanded us to do!

And ever since 15 yrs ago; when I prayed to Jesus in very sincerity and humbly: confessing my sins; including my Abominable Sins; and any other thing I did wrong, and I blamed only ME! And also: I asked Jesus to give me "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truth.

That changed my life forever. Oh Yes! I have no more scares and fears. For I KNOW Jesus will protect me always. And even if someone hurts and/or kills me; I have Jesus and so I don't care; whether I died yesterday, today or any time in the future. For I love life here; but the life I am going to; will make this life, a Sunday School Picnic. Compared to what Jesus said about Heaven.

And He also said this...Revelation 21:4 And Jesus shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Praise His Holy Name...AMEN! And to the wise...

...In any case Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

God appeared to me at 4am once and I was so scared all I could do is curl up into a ball in bed and repent and say sorry for my sins.

That Inner Sanctum may have started out actaully scarey but it later becomes more of a dark comedy.

If only, with firm resolve, we begin to live according to God's law, we do not need to fear any sort of attack from those who do not understand, for to him who has truly begun to live according to God's Law, all that hap pens to him at the hands of men, happens for his profit and to the glory of God. It is especially necessary not to fear being forced to move from a place we like to a place we dislike, a place of fear and uncertainty, un fathomable as to God's plan in it for us. What harm did the wickedness of Joseph's brothers do to him? Was not rather his involuntary departure for Egypt the means of his rise to glory, the saving of his brothers from famine and the establishing of the conditions for all the wondrous works of God through Moses in Egypt and in the wilderness? Pagans and heretics often chased Orthodox Christians into barbarian regions. What happened then? Did this annihilate Orthodoxy? No; it rather confirmed it in the souls that were exiled and scattered among the barbarian peoples. The evil heretic Lucius drove the famous Macarius and several of the Tabennisiot hermits out of Egypt to a barbarian island, where all the inhabitants were idol-wor shipers. But these holy men, by their teaching and example, quickly suc ceeded in baptizing the whole island. Bishop Nikolai Velimirović, Prolog, 21 September. B# 80, pp. 746-747
