Tutorial guide - How to fix noisy click from HDD (clicking from often hard disk continues head parking)

On healthy HDD drive clicking is often caused by APM function which parks hdd heads too often. Some vendors fix this issues with firmware update, some not. Here is an easy software fix for your HDD.

REMEMBER -- this fix will help only when clicking is cause by APM function, if it is cause by HDD malfunction it will not.

1. Google, download and install some free software utility -- Crystaldiskinfo.
2. From menu go to function, advance features AAM/APM control. For APM move the slider to the right and choose DISABLE.
3. In function menu check RESIDENT AND STARTUP.
4. RESTART AND YOU ARE DONE. NO MORE CLICKING SOUND FROM YOUR HDD.

I read that this shitty option also is wearing off hdd faster. I have no idea why this option is as default and there's no option in bios or windows to turn it off.

Moving it to the right and clicking disable puts the hard drive into maximum performance mode. Very funny.
