Princess of Wales announces she is undergoing cancer treatment | BBC News

The Princess of Wales has revealed that she is being treated for cancer.  

Catherine stepped back from royal duties when she had abdominal surgery in January.  

In a video she said she had initially thought her condition was "non-cancerous" but subsequent tests found that cancer was present.  

She said it had been an "incredibly tough couple of months" for her and her family, and that she was undergoing chemotherapy and "getting stronger every day".

The announcement comes at a time when King Charles is also receiving treatment for cancer.

I’m American, not British, and this brought a tear to my eye. She always comes across so lovely, so kind and so likable. I always thought the RF was lucky to have her. I wish her a complete recovery and all the best for her family and children. Hopefully all the gossip will now stop.

I felt all along that your privacy should have been respected and you left alone w/your family. It makes me cry to learn of your condition, but so many new things have been developed to treat people who have that disease. My daughter at age age 25 had a cancermous tumor in her spinal column. She received surgery (5-1/2 hrs) and then radiation treatment for 6 weeks. She survived and is now 49 years old. I agree there is hope, and I definitely hope that for you, Princess Catherine. You are loved throughout the world. My prayers will include you & your family. God bless youi all.

This guy has gone through a lot. All the money in the world and still, the human condition is forced upon him too.

I am German and feel soo sorry. She is such a great, human person with a lovely family. Of course she is princess, many other normal persons have cancer, but she is someone special!!
