Hi, Do you use pearl or hulled barley in this video? And have you tried 2.5 cups water to a 1 cup dry? The official instruction in the cooking time tables for instant pot mentions 2.5 cups water, I am interested about your opinion if you've ever tried more water. For your info, the instant pot cooking time table mentions 1 cup dry to 2.5 water ratio for pearl barley, and the instruction also mentions 20-22 min cooking time. Thanks for your effort and time.

I wanted to cook me some barley in the instant pot. I didn’t even know how to get started. A bell went off my head and said look my girl up. WOW you had a recipe and a very easy recipe on how to cook barley. Thank you so much. Well I’m on my way now to get my instant pot and I’m going to have me some barley tonight with my pork chop. Great for salads and tabouli. Could also be used to make barley cakes or bread.
By adding 6-8 cups of water, you have barley broth. Best thing for recovery during Covid and a cold. Barley is very biblical and for good reason. 👍😀

Thank you! I bought 3 lbs of barley and 5 lbs. of kimchi, but I had no idea how to cook barley in my Instant Pot. Now my dogs & I will feast on barley, carrots, zucchini and beef this week.

Why aren't you using the whole grain Hulled barley instead of the pearl barley?
