Don't let Leaves Block Your Air Vents

At this time of the year, you will find the wind blowing leaves on to your windscreen and bonnet.

These leaves can end up getting caught up at the top of the engine compartment.

If these leaves are left there, they can block the air vents. This can impact on the smooth running of your vehicle.

Please ensure that you periodically raise the bonnet and clear these away.

I’ve found leaves and wet dirt into the air vents of my bmw x1 but I was able to clean them anyway there were some drains harder to clean. The manufacturers don’t seem to know how to design the cars to prevent these problems. The bmw x3 g01 for example is even worse. To clean the leaves you need to remove the wipers entirely not only the blades obviously then a plastic shield then there is a battery for the auxiliary heating, remove that then you get to the filters and clean them.
