Question: I'm looking for an inexpensive "play" bike to ride back and fire roads in my area. The Grom with stock tires is not that bike, but I'm wondering if I put knobbies on a Grom if it might fill the bill?

if you end up spending over 1, 000 bucks in mods, might as well have gone with a cb300r. i never modded my grom, but I'd say the only thing my grom needed was a stiffer front fork.
