Despite his lack of popularity as a hero, he was basically an Irish Hercules.

And even when he passed away, he was so hardcore. With his guts hanging out from a wound in his belly, he drank from a nearby stream, tied himself to a tree with his own belt, and stayed there two days before dying on the third, with Morigú perching on his shoulder as a crow, to bless one of her greatest warriors. It's enough to make any brave boi cry and have another drink.

The hound of ulster was one of the best legends I read as a child on the myths and legends sections of the newspaper
