Sorry but this is Nonsense, ... If the Marketing person, creates a way of selling a unique product, that has not been able to be sold before, particularly if it has failed in the past ..Then in MANY silicone valley start ups .. they can be MORE important than the product and engineering ... That is basic it depends on the individual business case.

So what he is saying is only true... IF you already know the way to market the product ( in their are similar products that already successful ) ..Even .. you may need a strong performer to win a race of equals..
