I wish I could thank the team that convinced my mom she needed to go to the hospital after she passed out a few days ago. She tried to stop me from calling 911 when she came to in the midst of the call, shouting so loud I could barely hear the ambulance operator who was trying to help me. They came and talked her into going. The ambulance driver who did the talking reminded me a lot of you. Great sense of dark humor, great laugh. Backed me up in the ER when mom tried to deny that she passed out, and made her realize what I was saying was true.

She'd lost 2 liters of blood from a stomach ulcer she didn't know she had, and had been hiding her symptoms/the fact that she'd had dark stool from us for weeks. They saved her life.

I used to think these videos were dramatized until I watched my own mother behave that stubbornly when I was trying to keep her alive. My own situation was so bazaar that I can't help but believe every word you say.

Just...thank you so much for what you do.
