Sen. Durbin: Senators have 'gone too far' by revealing vote

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) told CNN's Dana Bash that some senators have "gone too far" in hinting how they plan to vote before the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump has begun in the chamber.

Theyre refusing to follow their oaths, thats their job how is that ok? If anyone else did that? refused to do their job they would be fired, I reject the framing its not on both sides its one side the Republicans.

it's wrong no matter how you cut it for any senator, who are the jurors in this trial, to pre-judge the defendant. durban is right, democrat or republican, it makes a mockery of swearing in a juror. if such a thing happened in any other trial in the country that juror would be immediately removed from the jury. in fact, i was dismissed from a potential murder trial jury because i had to reveal that i couldn't be impartial after the defendant had a violent outburst during voir dire.

Just throwing this out there, Dana Bash is annoying as hell to watch her interrupt the guest as he answers a question over and over again, made me cringe. Why is it so hard to wait 10 more seconds for his sentence to end until you ask your follow up..

And as for the content, I really respect Senator Durbins views here, everything he said was 100% right.

Nancy and shumer should plan a senate vote on oath of office and get the senate ethics committee to investigate the oath and ethics of mitch and Lindsey and anyone else brazen enough to publically speak against an oath.

I think the longer this drags-out, the more Republican Senators will decide to resign, rather than stick by our Fearless Leader. It will only take a few to shift control of the Senate back to the Democrats. The rules would then be up for change and the results would not for bode well for Trump.
