A press release from Senator Durbin's office states:

U.S. Senator Dick Durbin will visit The Network, which operates the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline, to discuss the local impact of the VOCA Fix to Sustain the Crime Victims Fund Act, which was signed into law by President Biden today and will support survivors of violent crime.

The legislation, which was introduced by Durbin and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), will replenish and stabilize the Crime Victims Fund, which helps survivors of domestic violence, abused children, and other victims of violent crime access the professional services they desperately need. The Crime Victims Fund also assists survivors with expenses like medical bills, counseling, funeral costs, and loss of wages, and supplies grants to thousands of victim service providers across the nation – including the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline.

Durbin will be joined by Amanda Pyron, executive director of The Network.
