A political trial or any other trial; everything must be scrutinized. Prosecution and defense get their fair chance. No messing about. Indeed, history is already watching and will have a verdict of its own. There will be no merci for the wrongdoers.

The House of Representatives do the investigative work and hold a trial. Then if they find cause to impeach the President, they hand all their work and findings to the Senate.
The Senate uses what The House of Representatives hand them. The Senate does not continue the work or redo the work The House has done.
The House should have taken their time with their trial maximizing all they can gather together. If The House wants more done then it's on them. They should have taken more trial time when the ball was in their court instead of demanding more time when the ball is in the Senates court. The Senate doesnt send the articles back to The House so they can do more investigating trials nor is it the Senates responsibility to hold a trial that the House should have held.

The process is getting screwed up.
