I hope that if Sonic 4 or 5 will come that Eggman Nega and Silver and Blaze will appear. I mean in Sonic 3 the main characters will be confronted with dangers of the past like Shadow the Hedgehog and maybe the revenge of Eggmans grandpa. I can imagine that Eggman Nega could travel back to time (the present) and that Silver and Blaze would follow him to stop him like a Invasion from the future.

In the original lore Gerald was killed in a flashback and so was Maria so Gerald being alive in sonic 3 is confusing to me
