In Sonic Underground (1999), Sonic’s mother is Queen Aleena. She’s forced to separate her newborn triplets—Sonic, his brother, and his sister—during Dr. Robotnik’s takeover of their kingdom, Mobius. Then, in the Archie comics, you’ve got Bernadette Hedgehog, wife of Jules, and mother to Sonic. But she’s no ordinary mom—she was a soldier in King Acorn’s Special Forces, fighting in the Great War between Mobians and humans. Then, in the Japanese Sonic the Hedgehog manga, Sonic is actually the alter ego of a regular fourth-grader kid named Nicky, with a pretty standard family: mom Brenda, dad Paulie, and sister Tanya. As for Longclaw, the owl guardian from the Sonic movie, she isn’t his biological mom but more of a protector and mentor who took care of him when he was young. So, Sonic’s “mom” depends on the version of the story!

I would say that Alena is cannon compared to the rest in my opinion, but I know that Longclaw was also his mother as well. It only depends which version you see.

Sonic Movie 4, as a new threat rises, Sonic's backstory is revealed, and how he was one of three siblings entrusted to Long Claw by a queen who wanted to protect her children and their powers. Meanwhile, she entrusted Manic to a group of junkers, but also thieves, and Sonia was entrusted to a very wealthy family. However, her planet got taken over, and she was taken away while her adopted family lost their lives in a recent invasion. It is where Manic shows up to Greenhills running from bounty hunters, saying they need to save Sonia to combine their powers to defeat a prophesied evil and restore their original home planet that has been dead for many years. So, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles agree to go with him on an adventure through different colony planets that have been taken over to find Sonic's sister. Meanwhile, Shadow is doing a redemption arc depending on how the third movie ends. I would honestly think it would be bada$$ to see a team up with Sonic, Manic, Sonia, Tails, and Knuckles. Go, go, Team Sonic!
