Tom probably won't die (most likely he will just be injured) and also people have been having a theory that 50years ago someone in Tom's family killed Maria. This is due to a line Maddie says in the first movie talking about there being a Wachowski protecting green hills for over 50 years and you know what else lasted for over 50 years, Shadow's containment. This would be a perfect idea to raise the stakes and give Sonic even more of a reason to defeat Shadow.

I dont think Tom dies, but I do agree with the idea that maybe Sonic THINKS Tom was killed by Shadow and then have Sonic lose it.
I dont know if they'll have Sonic go Dark Sonic, but I do hope that they actually have an arc where Sonic nearly goes down the same path Shadow is going and how he gets out of it.

I have a theory: OK so what if Tom does die) OK so the theory starts with Tom getting hired as a gun agent and shadow hates the gun agents and he sees Tom and the gun uniform so he just comes in and basically just knocked down all of the guards and he holds down Tom and which is why Tom is screaming”SONIC!” After he said that shadow punched him knocking him out or either killing him and he is at the hospital sonic tales and knuckles are all looking outside of the hospital and shadow comes. Sonic looks pissed and says.” what did you do? What did you do to Tom.” “Eh…. What I had to..” shadow said chucking “ it didn’t mean you have to kill him…” sonic said as shadow just leaves and sonic doesn’t have the right decision and he just says he needs to team up with eggman( I don’t know if this is right, but I hope it is thank you for reading)

Tails isn’t leaving. That clip of Tails flying away is likely near the end of the movie when they’re back together. You can see he’s in space, not using his tails and holding his breath, likely act 3

Shadow is most likely gonna be on team sonic by the end so I don't see Shadow actually going through with killing donut lord since that would be way to unforgivable imo, also I think i heard somewhere idk where that donut lord still has a year or 2 left in his contract

That idea with tails leaving sounds true if you look behind when tails is flying you can kinda see sonic and knuckles looking at tails

Na seeing this Sonic finally snap..gosh it is heartbreaking since in the last 2 he was always happy and cheerful even in the knuckles tv show.
