It doesn't matter to me lol they both play games. I'm a more casual gamer that doesn't care about cheap disks and trading disks and all that jazz. I just went digital and since I get a new game every 2 or 3 months, I don't care about the price of them cause I have more than enough money to buy a new game by that point.

Easily disk. Disk games are normally cheaper and if you are done with one game you can trade it in for a different one

I got the disc version because I can sometimes buy games cheaper than I could in the ps store, also I like having game stored on shelves because I am into that and also I can see why you would wanna save that 100$ from not getting the disc but eh my ps5 fits anywhere in the house so I don’t mind!

I haven’t bought a physical game in almost a decade; I only buy digital now. It wasn’t an intentional choice, it just naturally happened. The only console I would buy physical games now is on my PS2 or my gameboys, but if I do it’s pretty rarely.

I don’t really want physical games taking up room on my shelves; I do collect physical music, but physically collecting games has no appeal to me.

My Xbox series S doesn’t have a disc drive, and I’ve never had any issues or instances where I wish it did in the 3 years I’ve had it. Same goes for my Nintendo switch which is like 6 years old now.

Back when I did have physical games, they got scratched, lost, or loaned out and never returned, and I’d end up buying the game again. I don’t want to go back to that.

Getting the disc version
will save your money in the long-term, the discs are cheaper (usually) than the games in PS store, Sony really abused the fact, that digital users can't get games for cheaper... But the digital is prettier, yes.

I don’t even remember when i used last time a disc lol, bought the digital one and i am happy, I guess it just depends on each person, there is no “bad decision “ .

I love the disc edition because ive rented thousands of dollars of games from the library for the past 10 years.

They both have their pros and cons but it’s either just buying the console that has a online store or get the disc and have both. It just depends what your using your console for. People buy them and don’t even game.

Well I chose digital cuz I travel a lot and I don't have to bring the physical copy. Easy to carry.

I have the blu ray version and it’s definitely worth it. It downloads games very fast compared to digital versions.

I honestly think the disc version looks more appealing. (I put it horizontal)
It feels more grand, idk how to describe it, like more value is added compared to the digital which is nice and sleak but it doesn't have the same flair i get with the disc

The problem with the digital version is that when the PS5 hits end of life (which is inevitable; see the PSP/PSP GO) & shuts down the PS5 servers, your device is now useless unless you resort to installing custom firmware & sideloading games.
Let's not also forget that games can get delisted for many of reasons.
I can play my physical Ghost Of Tsushima version 10/20+ years from now.

Honestly the disc sideways is the best option it looks better looks like it has more support and is just better

just did a research to see which loads faster between digital and disk for PS5. Apparently the data of disk is still saved to drive of PS5 so its only used for verification of ownership. The data isn't on disk anymore when you play it, meaning the disk isn't spinning loading data, its saved to your PS5 drive which beats the purpose of buying since its still digital.

I haven't got one till Friday, and it will be a disk version. I like buying used games and having an option of digital or physical. No disk, no sale
