At the moment our debt is meaningless because the world has to use the dollar. Once other countries no longer use the dollar that debt will suddenly mean a whole lot

Years ago nobody could predict the dollar conditions we’re witnessing today. The U.S continue to double down on the same mistake that brought the dollar where it is. Therefore, no guarantee that the grass of the dollar would not be faster than it’s envisaged.

The next economic catastrophe will be worse because we cannot afford to bail it out like we did the last time. Last time, it should have been worse, and honestly, it wasn't as horrible as it should have been. Furthermore, those who default on their debts will be people with good credit scores and loans with higher interest rates, making the situation much frightening in many ways. Furthermore, we now have inflation depreciating the dollar and markets, when we didn't back then (apart from high gas prices).

India is not an ally of US, it's a partner. Our respected foreign Minister have emphasis this many times.

They’re no longer trading WITH EACH OTHER in the American dollar. (By leaving that out, they get views)

To put it simply US will not be able to bully any other nation economically.

As an Indian my view on de-dollarization is although US is a partner of India but how Biden administration used Dollar as a political weapon by freezing Russian assets is worrying. This has reduced our trust over the Dollar, but is there any alternative currency to replace Dollar this has to be seen.

Every country should use their own currency.

I'm from Brasil, and what I can see dollar losing value has 0 impact on this distancing, what I can say is the impression that I have is that if Brasil prints money, our currency goes to 0, while if US prints money is "Okey guys, more money to grab"

saudi arabia only is *considering, and in Brazil its only one Bank that switched ... so this video makes it sound way too dramatic.

No one wants to pay 10 units of tax just to transfer 2 units of money.
That's why India is doing it. We call it "De-dollarization".
It's been quite a while since India was treated as a market 😊

Using the dollar as a weapon was a dumb idea

BRICS has been around for quite some time. This is not a recent development like the video implies. FYI, I believe South Africa should also be mentioned here.

Actually India's economy not just depends on US dollar but also largely depends on nations against US dollar so it's important for India to accept both dollar and currency alternative of dollar to maintain balance and there's something similar with Saudi Arabia

The main reason India is going away from dollar is that US is using dollar as wepon against other country's.

As an Indian, de-dollarization is extremely necessary for India and the world because the US likes to bully other countries using the dollar. It even tried to bully India although it says India is its "ally". We don't want to be dependent on any country and want to promote our Indian Rupee in as many countries possible
