Is that power knob u put on the quantum compatible with most spinning reels? If so, can you provide a link to it? Thanks!

You should compare the Saltiga to the $100 Daiwa BG, everyone says the BG is an incredible value.

I love Daiwa Saltist ever since I first bought it. But I am wondering is it worth to upgrade to Daiwa Saltiga? I heard their customer service is bad, costly to fix reel, and taking so long to fix. In addition, I was informed to stay away from mage seal because you can't buy it separately and install it on our own.

I've quit using quantum reels because their anti-reverse always seem to fail.

Penn reels are shit. I had Penn Conflict 3000, Battle 4000 both went bad after 1.5 years

I’ve payed 50 to 100 dollars for the few reels I’ve had in my life and still own most of them. I live on the coast and have to deal with a lot more elements than freshwater only. We catch 2lb bass and 40lb reds and stripers. In no way have my reels ever failed me or caused me to lose a fish. The magazines or shows that tell you how you need a 200+ dollar reel and 5 different sticks to throw it on are pure marketing. They’ll catch you just as many fish as a 400 dollar yeti cooler or a $200k boat lol. $800 for a reel is absurd.

I’ve beat the crap out of my Cabela spinning and bait casting reels bc I thought they’d end up being throw away reels that I didn’t have to worry about...three years later not a single tune up. Tackle doesn’t cost this much to produce but if people keep paying more for it companies will only continue to raise the price. Our hobby is expensive enough as it is.

I recommend Shimano or Penn(my opinion) Daiwa lasts under 2 years. Quantum is junk.
