Time to warm up with some amazing Beef stew my friends.

FOLLOW ME:

Beef stew recipe:
4 lbs braising beef
2 celery stalks peeled
3 carrots peeled and halved
1 large shallot halved
8 sprigs of fresh thyme
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
3 tbsp tomato paste
5 cloves garlic
20 peppercorn
1 bay leaf
6-8 cups of beef stock
1-2 tsp kosher salt
Add roux to desired thickness

I worked with the company Le Creuset for this video which was a dream come true. that's why all those sizes of pans are in the video in case you were wondering. This was a really fun way to serve stew and if you feel like putting some work in it's a great recipe to try!

I just saw that you're posting 30 videos for Christmas and I could not be happier. You're my favourite chef by far for a multitude of reasons but most importantly because you care that we learn as many tips and methods as possible without feeling pressured to do them perfectly to enjoy the recipe.

I love beef stew, but I can honestly say. I've never seen it prepared in such an elegant, mouthwatering way. The potatoes alone are a work of art. Then to put them on a bed of leeks is killer.
Way to take a frugal mainstay meal and make it 5 star worthy. I'm in awe.

Oh yes, that is a great twist on how to style up a beef stew and spuds! I make or buy a huge Yorkshire pudding and use it as a serving bowl on a plate of course.
Your pro cooking tips add that extra I always try to look for and achieve in my home cooking.
My only Le Creuset pan was a solid cast iron small omelet pan. It lasted years and years and was only killed with a very high fall to the floor!

The tiny bit of butter part gave me flashbacks to the crispy potatoes video where you said "about a teaspoon of butter" as the entire stick falls into the pan and you just wink at the camera. That made my sides hurt for an hour!!
