"Most of these can only be seen from the sky" ... ahh no ... that may be the case for the most giant of tombs around Osaka, but keyhole kofun of many sizes and dimensions all over Japan can most definitely been seen in full, walked on, and visited from ground level, many even have opened burial chambers that we can go inside. There's even a couple in two of central Tokyo's most popular parks (Ueno Park and Shiba Park) that can be fully appreciated from the ground.
