As someone who has been through this believe me it was painful and the doctor couldn't believe how much wax and dead skin he pulled out of my ear. It was instant relief

Please do not judge this patient. His ear canal isn’t shaped so that he can slough ear wax. Instead it gets caught and builds up against his eardrum. You can go a lot of years and never find an M.D. primary care physician who knows anything about the ear. He’s had many painful ear infections in his life from the looks of his ear canal. I’m glad he’s getting some treatment now.

I worked in a nurse only department to assist physicians with blood pressure checks and just about anything else you can think of that needed to be done without a physician standing by. I cleaned ears for the elderly and one man who thought he was deaf said he could hear for the first time in a long time. It was so wonderful that we could help in such a minor way but meant a lot to this gentleman.

And Doctor ... He called it a day immediately after this appointment and went on long vacations for he had accomplished work of an entire year
