I still have the original soffit which is wood and Masonite, it's all termite eaten so I'm getting ideas now. The sheathing on the garage wall needs to be replaced as well so will do siding and soffit at the same time. Do one wall at a time. Just replaced the back garage door and had to replace 90" of the sheathing and rebuild the entire rough opening. This will be next year's project and that wall will be the guinea pig for my DIY skills.

J Channel is used on almost all block homes in Florida. You cant install the F on a 2x2 nailer with Stucco. Fine on wood frame.

J channel nails to the nailers in between subfacia and wall and you 45
1 corner of the and leave the other one square when you turn the corner

So what if I don't want to nail each soffit and just add an F channel on the subfaica board and just insert them?

Why does it look like the sofit of the gable is not flushed with the facia?

What channel would you use where only the soffit is vinyl with a 3/8" reveal(above bottom of facsia, which won't be vinyl covered) and the soffit is not level but follows the slope of the rafters(2/12). Also the wall is brick not wood. Thanks

That was a great video about installing the F-channel. Do you have the 3-D cad diagram of the corner installation. You lost me on that one.

Should the channel be installed with the nailer down instead of up if the siding isn't on yet?
