I must admit, I am in tears of joy. Seeing Mr Shatner experience what he made all of us dream of over the decades has finally come to him and at 90 it's an incredible feat.

Doesn't it feels like William Shatner lives life like no other. The way he describes his experience is insightful and inspirational. I just traveled to space on his words alone. To focus on the his ages just seems shallow, I rather focus on his curiosity and wonder, and what he has to teach us. He peered into the incredible darkness of space and contrasted nothingness to that of the brightness of being alive.

What a deserving opportunity for William Shatner to visit space. I’m pretty sure William Shatner is the inspiration and motivation behind many space technicians and space explorers. It’s only right William Shatner was given the rare opportunity to visit where most will never go or have went.
This was very moving.

I grew up watching Star Trek when I was a young lad and to see William Shatner go into space is unforgettable. It would've been nice if they had named the spaceship, the USS Enterprise. Space, the final frontier..👍🇺🇸

If any celebrity deserved it, he was most certainly the one. I am so happy for him and I believe all his fans and even non-fans are extremely happy for him. This is another little piece of history in our lifetime.

When Blue Orgin reached about 50, 000 feet they ran into some severe turbulence. This disturbed William Shatner deeply, so he took command (naturaly) and barked out the order "RED ALART, SHIELDS UP!"

Star Trek was the most hopeful vision for humanity. It was a world where we had not lost our flaws, but we had transcended them continually to reach for the better angels of our nature. The current state of the world reflects either the labour pains of a new level 1 civilization or the death throes of a "dangerously savage child race"- Q-TNG S1E1, and Finale. "May what ever God you believe in have mercy on your souls"

Let us not forget the crewman who went up first. James Doohan. His ashes have been aboard the iss for years.

I'm now watching 60s Star Trek for the first time on Netflix, so glad to see Captain Kirk in space one more time, and hopefully that one day we will also live in a world where there are no wars and where science and technology guide us.
