How To FIX PS4 Mic Not Working Problem - record voice in gameplay

***SOLVED***
Go to Setting>Devices>Audio Devices and with the headphones unpluged switch the headphones on. (if your headphones have an on and off switch) then plug the headphones back into the PS4 remote. And wallah the mic starts working. Just keep on playing with the headphones switch on and off while plugging the headphones in and out and eventually you will find the right setting for the mic.

My headphones worked fine before i updated my PS4. After the update my mic stopped working wtf.

i just bought a headset earlier today and the mic isn’t working at all . everything is set properly, but maybe the cord is messed up ? idk but it’s frustrating, so i’m assuming i’ll have to go back and get a refund because the condition is TERRIBLE .
