I've seen this scene get a lot of hate, so I just wanted to give my thoughts on it. I can actually buy a lot of the battle techniques that the ewoks do here, I can buy that they'd be able to trip the AT AT walkers, but I do agree with everyone that the throwing rocks thing was stupid. How thin is that armor that even rocks hurt them? I mean if even Han, Leia, or Chewbacca was throwing the rocks at the stormtroopers instead, it would look just as stupid. I actually did not mind the ewoks in this movie to be honest

The Emperor was not prepared for the ewoks, not for them to aid the rebels. The ewoks were not only in great numbers, but they had excellent war and hunting tactics. They were also resourceful knew how to navigate the area. They came up with booby traps that could destroy AT-DT walkers, snares to crash speeders, and weapons that could subdue storm troopers.

One random thing I like about this scene is when the ewoks first emerge, they're EVERYWHERE and not even that far away from the stormtroopers. Really shows how they've adapted to hunting on the planet and how they used that practice to take on a more advanced army

Palpatine always failed to underestimate the strength of primitives, and even more so, his enemy's ability to form alliances with them.

I just love the chaos in this scene. Officers and crew running left and right, Stormtroopers in disarray and the rebels scrambling for the nearest blaster.

Despite the criticism of ewoks being too powerful, most of what they try to do here actually fails. Their main success is in diverting the stormtroopers' attention away from the rebels.

There is a good reason that Ewok's were called Little Wookies. They may be small, but they are incredibly strong for their size.

I used to think Ewoks were lame but if you think about it they are kinda cool. Little guys fought aliens with high tech weapons and gear with arrows.

I've been watching this movie since I got the VHS Special edition as a 6 year old in 1998, and to this day the Stormtrooper just chucking the Ewok at 2:12 makes me laugh.
